This past month has seen some awesome longboard events go down in Michigan. The Ann Arbor SEMIFOS in September attracted hundreds of racers including a handful of Landyahtz riders. BA. The Red Cup push race/slide jam the following weekend was equally as successful, drawing over fifty skaters that pushed then hit the hills for some slide jam action. Riders were hitting 50mph on the big hill, say what? The event went so good that we did it again. October 7th was the first annual Mid-Michigan Downhill invite which turned into a gnarly day of racing. Light rain throughout the day kept the pavement slick for the two dozen riders that came out. All in all it has been the best month of riding in MI for the red cup crew hands down. It’s awesome to see the MI longboard community coming together and 2013 looks to be even better. Shout out to the Michigan Downhill crew for keepin’ it real and setting the stoke level so high.
